Title: Temp Files
Post by JimKnopf on Nov 8th, 2005 at 9:49pm
Hi Gerd,

i have a question. If i use the "Automatic Alert you when someone delete a file...." function, i have the Problem that temporary doc files that will be create by opening a document are monitored. the file name are the same ~$.....
How can i exclude such files. If i use the "files that trigger events" option and use the are ignored button, create a new file mask called ~$* it monitore the files although?
Can you help me.

THX
Frank

Try using
*~$*
I guess I should explain those wildcard options a little better...
When the file C:\Monitor\~$MyDoc.doc is created, the complete path is matched against the wildcards.

So, ~$* does not match (C:\Monitor... doesn't start with a ~).
