Any task I create beyond the original two created at installation stop after being started. The event log shows "Error loading task configuration". I have installed all updates.

"Any task"?? That seems strange.
Did you try to follow the first tip in the FAQ (faq was updated yesterday)?

Are you perhaps using the "Standard" edition of WD? Standard only allows 3 configured tasks.

Hey Gert,

I paid for the professional version and the title bar states professional.

I have tried creating different types of tasks for the past few weeks and they stop after a few seconds.

Currently I am trying to copy new files from a local drive to a network drive. The permissions on the server allow this. The new previously created tasks are working.

Did you try to run with "write debug information"?

Can you send me the following 2 files:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\watchDirectory\TASKNAME.config
and
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\watchDirectory\TASKNAME\history.db
(replace TASKNAME with the name of a task that fails).
Please ZIP them when you email them to me, I will have a look.
