Title: Attach files if not above certain size
Post by Roland on Jun 19th, 2006 at 6:26pm
Hi,

Is it possible to only attach files to an email message when they are not over a certain size? I would like to make large files available for download, while smaller files shoudl be sent by email.

Thanks.

Hello,

I've just implemented this request. The next release (a few days from now) will include it.

In the same kinda direction.
I use it to mail many small files, how can I get it to send the mail with a sum total message size of lets say 2MB, and attach the rest of the files to the next message?

Hi,

Sorry, but at the moment this is not possible. Well, perhaps if you use the .bat file plugin, and send emails from that it could be possible.

I will see if I can add some functionality to the email plugin to delay sending the email (it normally sends email for each file), and after the delay, attach all files and split the message based on the specified size.

or if you could trigger the event by the sum total of the files in a folder, or something like that, then mail all those files at once.
I don't want to zip the files cos gmail gives nice web previews of photos, and I use this mail feature to backup all my photos.
