Title: Rename Error occuring
Post by papsterkat on Feb 15th, 2008 at 10:16am
Hi everyone,
Has anyone come across the following issue before:

When files are moved to a new location, the system seems to add a string of numbers at the end of the file name. The first part of the string seems to relate to the date copied to the new folders but the rest seems to be random.

It seems to only do this every now and again not consistently.

Hello,

Which plugin/task are you using? Can you post a screenshot of its settings?

Probably the "copy files" plugin, it adds the date/time when the target file already exists, depending on your settings.

Yeah looks like that is what the problem is:
What setting shall I use to prevent this from happening?

You probably want the "Overwrite when the existing file is older" setting. That way, the target directory will always contain the newest version.
