Title: .TIFF print plugin?
Post by Sean Farmer on Jun 10th, 2010 at 11:17pm
I am currently trying watchdirectory for 30 days. I need to accomplish 2 things - print .pdf files and then move to another folder, where they will be picked up by a document archiving process, and print .TIFF files and move them to the same folder.

Does anyone know if they are planning a .TIFF print plugin for Watch Directory? If not, can I get a .bat file somewhere to facilitate the print?

Thanks!

Hi Sean,

there are actually no plans for a tiff plugin.

You can do it by now using "print pdf with Foxit Plugin" plugin and PDF Creator.
Download pdfcreator here http://www.pdfforge.org/download and install it in "server mode" (you will be ask during installation). Configure it to autosave files and chose "TIFF" as output file. Now let the plugin print your pdf to PDFCreator printer.
Maybe there are other solutions, but exact this I am running here well.

I assume you meant "PDF" as output file?

I read Seans posting again - you could be right....

Anyway - with pdfCreator your can do both, "convering" pdf into tiff or tiff into pdf.
To convert tiff into pdf you need to run an application that opens that tiff and print it to pdfCreator printer. You need an application that can print by batch command and use .bat-file plugin.
