Title: rightclick task | "copy" for new task; descri
Post by jcy on May 14th, 2011 at 7:29pm
Using the file deletion plugin, I am creating 7 tasks that deletes files+folders after 5 days.

The first task I created was "monday" (screen 1) so naturally i use this as a template for the other 6 days.

I right click on the "monday" task and choose "copy".  The wizard appears and towards the end of the wizard process, there's "name and description".  The wizard does not update the monitored folder in the description field (screen 2).

However, after the wizard finishes, the correct description appears in the Control Center view. (screen 3, yellow highlight)

An extremely minor bug, but I figured it was worth reporting.

Hi,

this isn't a bug, the text is autofilled only the first time a task is created and does not change automatically when you change the monitored folder or copy a task. You need to edit this task desciption manually.

as shown in screen 3, the wizard actually ends up correctly entering the right monitored folder without need for manual editing.

Hi,

I just look into it again and the description field was updated correctly after the task was saved and reopened. You need to save the task to update the description for the watched folder.
Which version of WatchDirectory are you running?
