Title: TLS 1.2 for FTPS
Post by Jim K. on Dec 22nd, 2015 at 11:59pm
How do I force an upload using FTPS (Secure Data) to use TLS 1.2?   ...is this possible yet?   I have to upload to PCI 3.1 compliant server and not able to as it is only trying TLS 1.0.

Hello Jim,

The library we use for FTP(S) doesn't support this yet. The library we use for our other program WatchFTP does support it. I will see if we can implement that for a new plugin somewhere (early) next year.

Thanks.  I have WatchFTP, but unless I'm wrong, it only synchronizes downloads, not uploads.  Am I missing that?

Correct. What I meant was that WatchFTP uses a different code-base for its FTP connections.
That code-base has more "power" and we will use that code for a new version of WatchDirectory. We will create a new FTPS and SFTP plugin for WatchDirectory early next year.
