Hi All,

I am trying to trouble shoot why my task did not detect and process a file. The history log states that the file 'does not exist anymore, event removed'. In fact the same message was posted to the history database twice with a gap of 6 seconds between them. I attach a jpg of the relevant screenshot.

When I checked the monitored data share, the file was however visible and had been saved at the time initially detected by the WatchDirectory task.

Please can you suggest what scenarios might have caused this issue?

Hello Tony,

Are you using the "Fast" monitoring method?
Can you check if it works for one of the other monitoring methods?

If you want to continue "Fast", make sure to enable the option "(also) trigger as FILENEW" for renamed files on "Events".

I think what happens is that the app creating the file does some renaming-steps while doing so.

Many thanks for your prompt response.

I am using the Fast Monitoring method which has worked well for the vast majority of the files saved to the data share.

I will try selecting the option you suggest.

I attach my planned settings as a jpg.

Is this the correct setup?
