Title: Check if a job is running
Post by Newman on Feb 23rd, 2017 at 11:16pm
I have a number of jobs running on a server and I would like to know if there is anyway to check, at any point in time, if a job is running or everything is quiet.

I'm doing maintenance on our network and will need to shutdown the service but I want to ensure there are no jobs running at that time.

Thanks for your help,
Robert

I am not 100% sure what you are asking...

Do you want to know if a task is running, scanning for changes, showing "green" when you start th WatchDirectory Control Center?

Do you want to know if a task is currently acting on a detected file (for example, an FTP task is currently uploading the file).

Yes, option #2.  I would like to know if it is currently acting on a file that showed up.  Since I'm doing maintenance on our network I will need to shutdown this server however if it is taking action on one of the jobs I want to wait until the job has completed.  As I mentioned there are a number of jobs and going into history for everyone of them is not an option.

Thanks

Check if "Last Message" is enabled on "View -> Show/hide columns".

The "Last message" column show the last message from the task, it should give you a good indication what is happening.

I will check for a future release if we can add a "Current Activity" column, showing something like
Stopped, Idle, Scanning, Uploading, Copying, ....
