Title: Repeated FTP Transfers
Post by maurizio on May 8th, 2017 at 11:55am
Hi All,

I was seeing if anyone has had a similar issue and managed to fix it?

Currently im running a watcher on a folder number of folders  to copy files according to certain naming conventions and upload them to their corresponding folders on an ftp.
This part all works fine the issue is that once the file has completed transfer it does not move the file as instructed on completion to another folder using the "move the file to..." function.
I have also tried for once completed for the file to be deleted this doesn't seem to worth either.

Instead it will begin to poll again and repeat the job until I turn the work flow off and move out the source file manually. This issue is across all the workflows any thoughts?

Hello Maurizio,

That sounds strange... I guess, according to WatchDirectory, the upload still hasn't finished. Or, when WD is trying to move the file it failed because the file is locked (virus scanner?).

You say it happens with all your tasks... Are those uploading to the same FTP server?

Anyway, I would like to look into this. Can you please do the following for ONE task with this problem.
Stop the task
Enable "write ftp conversation" and "debug"
Run the task until you see the problem again.
Stop the task
Email me (see my signature) a backup to look at. Please also tell me the name of the file that is detected/uploaded but not moved.
The above is described in full here:
