Quote:Is this parameter only in Minutes, no Seconds?
Yup, minutes only.
Version 2.1, due out end of August, will allow the polling frequency to be set in an easier (and more finegrained) way.

As this setting is intended to be used on 'remote' drives (network drives) each directory scan done by WD will access the network. This is of course slower than accessing a local disk.
To prevent that WD will monopolize the network the default frequency is set to 5 minutes. The minimum allowed value is 1.
As for the maximum: 2147483647 minutes (once every 4085 year

)

Any drive accessible from your windows machine should work. If you are able to see the contents of the drive in Windows Explorer, WD should also work...
If you do
NOT use polling, WD makes certain windows-calls that are not implemented by all network-software (causing error messages at startup of WD).
If you use polling WD will just scan the directory structure.
