e-mail and then move the file
May 18th, 2007 at 1:08pm

Hi,

I'm using the program to ftp files and then e-mail files...

I've created several directories and after each action is complete the file should be moved to the next directory in the structure. That dir is monitored and another action will trigger and then move the file to the next dir in the structure...

However, I've just set up the first e-mail action and I cannot find a way to move the file when it has completed? I've searched this forum for an hour or so and cannot find any reference either. Sorry if I have missed something obvious.

If there is a way to move a file following a successful e-mail, then please let me know.

Thanks
Garry

Hello,

Probably the easiest way to do this reliably is to use the "Automatically Sort Files" plugin (basically the "copy files" plugin, but allows multiple target directories) to copy the original file to C:\ToFTP and C:\ToEmail. Now let your email and FTP task monitor those directories instead.

Hi Gert,

Thanks for the reply and sorry for getting back to you so long after it.

I'll try that and let you know if it will fit into our workflow.

Thanks

Garry
