Thumbnail plugin file extention problem
Sep 28th, 2007 at 9:33pm

I am trying to get the thumbnail plugin to resize and rename a jpg.

The resize is working perfectly.  However I cannot get the rename of the file to output what I need.

I am trying to convert a file named 20060101.AAA to be renamed to 20060101.AAA.jpg

I have tried setting the Output format to JPG and the Thumbnail suffix to .jpg and I get 20060101.jpg.jpg

When I try setting the Output format to original and the Thumbnail suffix to .jpg I get 20060101.jpg

I really need the output filename to be 20060101.AAA.jpg but cannot figure out the settings to accomplish this.

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry, but that will not work, as you have noticed. The only way I can imagine to do this, is to use the "normal" settings of the thumbnail plugin so you get something like 20060101Thumb.jpg.
Then create a new task using the Rename Files plugin and let it change "Thumb" to ".AAA".

Hope that helps,
Gert
