Supress Subject line on combined emails
Oct 30th, 2007 at 7:12pm

Is it possible to suppress the subject line when combining emails?  I want to be able to send a confirmation email of files received in a 30-minute period but since that could be 50 or more I'd like to simply generate a combined email of the files with timestamps and with the subject line only on the sent email not the body.

Also - how do I generate a crlf in the message body?

Like the mods in 4.2.5 btw.

Hello Matt,

When the subject line of all the combined emails is the same, it won't be repeated inside the email body. So, for example, if you use a variable that translates to the filename in the subject, you will have repeated subjects (as each subject is unique). If you only use "fixed text" in the subject, all subjects will be the same, and they won't be repeated in the email.

Appending a message to the end of the combined email in 4.2.5 using the new feature has appended it to the same line as the last filename, eg:

31/10/2007 11:30:37   Copy of New Text Document.txt   0

----------------------
31/10/2007 11:30:37   Copy of New Rich Text Document.rtf   8

----------------------
31/10/2007 11:30:37   Copy of New Wordpad Document.doc   0

----------------------
31/10/2007 11:30:37   Copy of New Rich Text Document (2).rtf   8Please check and verify these details correspond to the files you have sent .. blah blah blah

I have put a cr after the variables list, btw.  Can I get the file list a bit tighter together rather than having 2 blank lines and a dashed line between them?   When you have a lot of files in one hit it makes for a very long email.

I guess the linefeeds are stripped after the last "body-part". This will be fixed in the next release.

For the moment, something that I think will work, is to add the linefeeds to text that is appended to the combined emails.
So, instead of
"Please check and verify these details..."
Enter it like
"<crlf>
Please check and verify these details..."

I will look into this as well.
