WdAnnotate
Nov 21st, 2007 at 10:27pm

I've been struggling to get WdAnnotate to work with my VBScripts.
I can even get the sample VBScript to write a message into History.
Am I missing something. does anyone have a checklist of rookie errors when using WdAnnotate?

Specifically the keywords "info"  and "warn" do not work, debug and error work.

Joe,

You asked the same question by email last thursday (or it was another Joe), and I replied this:

Hello Joe,

wdAnnotate is described here:
http://www.watchdirectory.net/wdhelp/plugins/wdopAutoRunBatAnn.html

The vbscript example:
C:\Program Files\watchDirectory\plugins\wdopAutoRunBat\templates\VBS Sample.vbs
shows how you can call it.

Note that wdAnnotate will NOT work properly if you checked the option "don't wait for .bat files to complete".

Gert,
I missed the e-mail. After going thru everything very carefully I found I was confused by having to "drill down thru the grids" in history.
I found the events and messages in the last screen.

From the first grid you see the runs of the task. Click anywhere in the run you want to see.
...

From the second grid you see the file Events. Clink in the row of the file you want to see.

...

Finally you see the events and messages related to the vbscript run by the file that caused the event

...

Thanks
