System Email plugin - Microsoft Exchange - SMTP

Hi Gert, I have been using my Yahoo SMTP with WatchDirectory for several years now.  I am no longer using my yahoo email account.  I need to use the SMTP server my Microsoft Exchange Email ISP offers.  Unfortunately, I can't get watchdirectory to use my new SMTP server.  Maybe it's because it uses NTLM authentication?  maybe it's HTTPS?  I dont have a clue.  Sad  Could you please look at the attached log to see how I should configure WatchDirectory System Email for it to be compatible with my Email ISP?  I am using the "Login" method in WatchDirectory.  However, it doesn't seem to make any difference what I choose in WatchDirectory.  If WatchDirectory doesnt support this type of authentication, could you add support for it?

Although, I dont want to use my backup email account on Google.com, I tried it anyway.  It looks like it doesnt work with Google SMTP either.  I get the below error.  I am REALLY hoping we can figure out a way to make this work in a reasonable way.  I dont have any other SMTP servers to use.  Thanks so much Gert, you have always been able to help me!

Maybe Dirk will chime in how you can use Exchange's SMTP, I believe he has experience with it.

Hi,
I think you are using Outlook for your normal connection. How does Outlook connect to that Exchange? TCP or HTTPS? You  can check this by pressing CTRL and rightclicking your Outlook tray bar icon and look for 'connection status' or similar (I do not have an English version here, so I do not know the exact name of that entry). There you will see HTTPS or TCP.
Do you have a link to a manual or howto from your ISP? Or can I maybe have test login there to play arround? You can email me direct, see below.

Can you finish Step2 and Step3 from the computer where WatchDirectory is installed (!) without getting an authentification error?
If so, try to config WatchDirectory to use Port 25 and your auth info together with "login" or "plain" auth method.

Thanks Dirk/Gert,

It looks like my Exchange ISP offers two SMTP servers.  It looks like I need to contact my Exchange email ISP "Cloudblock".  The one mentioned here: http://www.cloudblock.com/help/index.php?catid=26&topicid=86 severely restricts what subnets are allowed; even blocks Comcast network users!:
451 4.7.1 Rejected: 67.160.xxx.xxx because you send too much SPAM. Please see www.spamhaus.org.

I also can't use their other SMTP server (in logs) because my username is not allowed; even though I am a Cloudblock customer. 

I prefer to get this working with Cloudblock/Exchange since it's not worth it for me to install and configure stunnel for gmail.

Hi Michael,

don't you have a fix IP adress for your network from your line provider Comcast? If so this IP should be entered at Cloudblock config page.
If it still not accept your user name you need to contact them.
When you are able to do Step3 successfully, WatchDirectory will also work.
