Email after upload files complete
Sep 17th, 2016 at 6:43am

When using the Upload Files plugin, is it possible to send an email after completion?  If so how?

You can use the subtask plugin for that. 1st subtask is your upload, 2nd subtask the email. See http://www.watchdirectory.net/wdhelp/plugins/wdopMultiPlugin.html

Thanks for the prompt reply.  I have the Upload Files plugin working as expected. However, the Send Email plug isn't. I'm not sure what I am missing, but here is my scenario.

Directory structure
C:\Data\Inbox\Processed

As soon as PDF files are placed in the Inbox folder, the Upload Files plugin SFTP the PDF files to a remote destination.  Then move the PDF files to the Processed folder after completion.  Again this process works fine.

The Send Email plugin then sends an email confirmation. However, this process does not work.

The directory to monitored for change is C:\Data\Inbox

Matching file format is *.pdf
I have tried checking the option Masks have reversed meaning, but the result is the same.

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Can you enable "debug" for your task, run it for one file and send (email!) me a backup to look at. Also let me know the name of the file you used to test with.
Details about "debug" can be found here: http://blog-en.gdpsoftware.com/2010/06/send-task-backup-to-support.html

I looked at your task, you have it set to run only 1 subtask, see attached. You need to change that option to another.

That was it.  I changed it to "Run All SubTasks - Stop on Failure" and email notification is working now. This option also appears to run in sequential order which is what I needed.

Thanks for all your help!
