We are very busy at the moment with the new 3.0 version of watchDirectory. This will be, as usual, a free upgrade for existing customers.

This release will contain all the following new features:

• Can run as a windows service without 3rd party software
  
• Complete rewrite of the GUI
  
• Configuring WD will be a lot easier (wizard based setup)
  
• Ability to filter events (for example, only process files with a size greater than 100KB)
  
• No commandline parameters anymore, WD will use a configuration file
  
• Logging to a file will be replaced by logging to a database
  
• ...
  

All this takes a lot longer than expected, but we hope the release will be somewhere in October or November.
