Still a little cootie in the retry box.  Looks like you've restricted everything but numbers, all of which are valid.  But there's still the null condition..where you delete the old number to get ready to type in a new one, the error pops up and is rather difficult to dismiss.  Oh, btw, what is the max size of that number now?  Looks rather large--I don't get an invalid note at the bottom like I do with a too large of a number in the polling seconds box.

Sometimes people (like me) get lazy. If the development tool used to create watchDirectory (Microsoft Visual C++) offers nice wizards and shortcuts to do things, I immediately use them.

One of those wizard things is called DDV (direct data validation). I don't have to write code to check for invalid input, but let the wizard handle it for me...

Just tried this testcase (remove everything from the box), and I see what you mean.... nasty.

I'll create a fix for it during the weekend (and also replace the other DDV validations).
