This is the first beta of watchDirectory 4.5.
There are several features that are planned for the final 4.5 release that are not yet implemented, see the list below.

Implemented in this beta:

* New: The ZIP plugin can now create password protected ZIP files. Furthermore, it can "add" files to existing ZIP files.
* Updated: The watchDirectory Control Center refreshes the status information of tasks in the background. This improves the user experience when you have a lot of tasks.
* Updated: You can Right-click a task to export its settings.
* Updated: New window to select with which plugin you want to run a task.
  note that not all plugins have an icon yet: some whill show a question mark.

Planned for future beta's:

* TODO: Import settings of a task.
* TODO: Remote Control Center - only to start/stop tasks on other computers.
* TODO: Remote wdNotify (maybe).
* TODO: Better Vista compatibility. Note that current versions of WD already runs on Vista, but there are some small annoyances.

Note that when you run a beta version of WD, it will insist that there is an update available when you "check for updates".
Beta versions will show you their build-timestamp when you check for updates. Make sure the build timestamp is "older" than the version history before you decide to install a new version.

Install the beta "On Top" of your current install. Then it will keep your settings/tasks.

It took a while, but here is the second beta of watchDirectory 4.5.

New in beta 2:
* Fixed a problem with the ZIP plugin (introduced in the first beta), it wouldn't properly set the file permissions of the ZIP file.
* You can now also import task settings.
* The thumbnail plugin now supports the File Secutity page
* You can disable network directories on the context menu of tasks (via View -> Options) to improve performance.
* Optimized some settings to reduce the download size
* All plugins now have their own icon on the "New Task" window
* Preparations to make this version able to communicate with the "remote control center" (should be invisible for the moment)

And here is beta 3.

* The FTP plugin (to upload files) has a new option to write all responses from the FTP server to the history database.
* An important fix to the "File Age" monitoring method. If you only select the "DIRNEW event" (to detect old directories), and NOT the "FILENEW event" (to detect old files), the file age monitoring method would still fire FILENEW events.

This will be the last 4.5 beta. The Remote Control Center will be released separately later (probably next month).
