Title: Copied task fails to run Post by Hogg on Jun 16th, 2016 at 2:10am
Have a task that monitors a directory and when a new file is added it runs a bat. I have copied this task and changed the directory being watched, but it does not run. In the logs it doesn't seem to detect the files in the directory. Has anyone else run into this problem?

Hi,
Not sure what is happening. Can you stop the task, enable "Debug" and run it. When it should have detected a file, stop it and create a backup. Email me that backup (gert at gdpsoftware.com) and tell me the name of the file it should have detected. Full details are here: http://blog-en.gdpsoftware.com/2010/06/send-task-backup-to-support.html |

Tried last night and hit problem that when debug turned on the task would process correctly. Only very small task volume, so left debug switched on to see if I can get to fail with debug on.

mmmm, very strange (about "debug"). That setting should not matter at all.
Let's wait and see. |

Have emailed backup.
Seems that the setting of debug was not reason task run, but just the restarting of the task. It seems to run for a little while after the restart and then stops working for no apparent reason. |

I answered your email.
It is a bit of a guess but your task is set to run your bat script for new files (FILENEW) and once after 240 seconds (QUIET event). I see in your backup the script is called for the QUIET event and the script does not return. Your script probably hangs on the QUIET event. |
