Title: Move PDF after print with Tags Post by Marcel on Mar 16th, 2018 at 3:49pm
So, first of all thanks for your great product.
Let me explain the bug we're running into. After printing a PDF, we're trying to move it to a different folder. This folder contains subdirectories, which are named after the current year. So we found out that WatchDirectory gives us the opportunity to use {tags} like {year}. But sadly this won't work at all. Interestingly, i just found a topic about the same problem here in this forum: (since this is my first post, I'm not allowed to post links) watchdirectory.net/cgi-bin/yabb25/YaBB.pl?num=1449576222 It says that this bug is fixed in version 4.9.3. We're running 4.9.5. Any advice? Something I've overlooked? What's the actual status of this bug? I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks in advance, Marcel. |

Hello Marcel,
The other forum post is not using {dynamic naming} tags so I think that is different. Can you please follow the steps in this blog: http://blog-en.gdpsoftware.com/2010/06/send-task-backup-to-support.html So you enable "debug", run the task until you see the error and then send me a backup to look at. My email is below. Gert |

Hi Gert. Thanks for your quick response. I followed the steps. I'll send you an email with the backup in its attachment, right after sending this message.
Thanks in advance, Marcel |

Turns out the {dynamic name} used by Marcel was
\\synnas03\Gescannte_dokumente\DynamicTest\{year} As the helpfile for "print pdf" mentions, you should include a {tag} for the filename when you use dynamic naming. \\synnas03\Gescannte_dokumente\DynamicTest\{year}\{filename} should fix the issue. We will add a check for this (easily made) mistake to this task. |
