Title: combine emails not producing expected outcome Post by The Ginger Monkey on Jun 3rd, 2019 at 1:24pm
Hi
I have recently changed a load of individual tasks to run as sub-tasks, and for the most part this seems to be ok. However, I am monitoring a folder structure and sending files via email and combining the emails for example:- the main task is monitoring folder c:\transferin\investments and the sub tasks are monitoring sub-folders below this i.e. sub-task1 monitors c:\transferin\investments\company1 sub-task2 monitors c:\transferrin\investments\company2 and these sub-tasks are set to combine emails in a 5 minute window The problem is that if files appear in \company1 and \company2 within 5 minutes, they are sent on the same email I need these subfolders to be separate, which is why I set the subtasks to monitor specific sub-folders I see there is a flag to combine emails in each directory separately, but I don't think that will work in this case as there are multiple sub-folders under the \company1 folder which all need to be sent as 1 email for the company I also have a copy task as the first sub-task to keep archive copy of the files and remove the files after the email is sent, as per best practice suggestion on website. Can you tell me if this is how it is supposed to work? I assumed that since each sub-task will never pickup the files for another company due to the criteria including the company sub-folder, that the postman task would honour the files for each sub-task hope that makes sense cheers TGM |
