Title: WDCC UI not visible after new install Post by m.feldspar on Jul 18th, 2023 at 8:22pm
I've downloaded and installed 4.9.5 eval to a Windows 2019 device. Install went normally. When i tried to run wdcc.exe for first time i got dialog warning about needing to set ignored directories. Then nothing. I see wdcc.exe running in task manager but no UI is ever displayed. Any ideas?

Per Gert's suggestion in another post, I tried running wdrun.exe with below results:
watchDirectory Evaluation version 4.9.5.200, build Jun 2 2017 11:06:57 Perform any action when directory contents change. (c)2003 - 2017, GdP Software http://www.watchdirectory.net Evaluation Edition. 30 day(s) left to evaluate Buy this program at www.watchdirectory.net/shop.html Virtual Machine detected: VMware As virtual machines can be used to bypass the trial period of this program, watchDirectory will run with the following limitations: 1. Every task will be delayed 30 seconds 2. Files larger than 100 kilobytes will not be processed 3. Tasks will automatically stop after 1 hour Note that a registered (purchased) version of watchDirectory will run inside virtual machines! The above limitations are only present in the evaluation version. Evaluation version, 30 day(s) left until this key expires Usage: wdRun option task-name Option: -start Starts the task. -stop Stops the task. -pause Pauses the task. A paused task does not detect changes. -resume Resumes the paused task. The following options are only applicable when running as a Windows Service (watchDirectory Professional) -install Installs the task as a service. -uninstall Uninstalls the task as a service. Example: wdRun -start COPYFILES I then registered program and tried again with these results: watchDirectory Professional version 4.9.5.200, build Jun 2 2017 11:06:57 Perform any action when directory contents change. (c)2003 - 2017, GdP Software http://www.watchdirectory.net Registered to xxxxxxx - Licensed to run on 1 computers Usage: wdRun option task-name Option: -start Starts the task. -stop Stops the task. -pause Pauses the task. A paused task does not detect changes. -resume Resumes the paused task. The following options are only applicable when running as a Windows Service (watchDirectory Professional) -install Installs the task as a service. -uninstall Uninstalls the task as a service. Example: wdRun -start COPYFILES I then ran WDCC again but it still does not show the UI. Any suggestions? |

Sorry to hear you run into this issue. We have seen it before but have not found the cause of it. You probably need to install on another system to get it to work.

I am having the same issue. I have tried on 2 Windows 2019 servers and the UI won't open. Has anyone had luck with 2019?
