Could not read eventlog - Error Code: 122

I am monitoring a network drive on our file server. I am a domain admin and have every permission available to me. The job is not running as a service but manually. Below is the message I am getting via email.

Could not read eventlog - Error Code: 122
Description: The data area passed to a system call is too small.

Date/Time: 6/27/2006 5:41:12 PM
Computer: MO-COLDWELLE

This is a test to see if we want to buy this product so, please let me know ASAP what the problem might be.

We try to limit the software installed on that server. We have one big file server connected via fiber to a Terrabyte of drive space. That was part of the reason I wanted to test this app, so I didn't have to install it. I don't think it is a permission problem, I can run a script right now from my same PC that can read the event log on the fileserver. If it was a permission problem, that shouldn't work either. The FAST test of monitoring, worked without error. It only seems to be the event log.
