Email attachments fail if ";" is in filename
Mar 5th, 2007 at 4:33am

My fax software (brother) produces tif files with the date and time... these aren't sent by the email plugin correctly as it appears the ";" character in the filename messes it up.

Workaround is to use the beta rename plugin to rename the file and then email of course, but the email plugin should be able to send all filenames.

Thx -- ken

Hi Ken,

You are correct, the semi-colon is used as a separator for attachments, and if it is in a filename, the postman program will think it should attach 2 files (and will probably complain both are not found). I will fix this in the next few days.

Thanks for reporting this.

Hello Ken,

This issue has been fixed in the new beta release. It will be posted on the beta forum in a few minutes.
