Error Code: 32
Dec 22nd, 2015 at 4:27pm

This task has been running flawlessly for years.  Suddenly it's giving me an Error code 32 and failing.

<snip>
: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

<snip>

I've disabled the antivirus on the server to troubleshoot but no change.  Can't think of anything else that may be "accessing" this file.  I can move it manually with no issues.

Help!

try this:
on your server, open "MMC". Add Snap-In "Shared Folders" for that server.
Open that Snap-In and chose "opened Files". There you can see which process will lock your file. (I do not have a English system, so the exaxt words could be different).
If it doesn't help, download Microsoft ProcMon (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/sysinternals/processmonitor.aspx) and look for the process locking this file.

Thanks Dirk...

I added that snap in which looks very helpful.  Didn't see anything accessing the file or folder in question.

However when I tried my process again, it suddenly worked.

I'll keep this snap in handy for troubleshooting when it fails again.  Thanks..
