wdPostman service stops error cannot open file

I am running WatchDirectory Professional 4.8.7 and have not been able to send email alerts. When I start the task via the control panel it runs for a few seconds and then terminates. In the event log there is an entry:
Source; Service Control Manager
Description: The wdPostman service terminated with the following error: The system cannot open the file.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Can you explore c:\Program Files (x86)\watchdirectory and see if wdpostman.exe is present? Probably best to install the current release (free upgrade) and see if that fixes it.
