Issue with starting a Watch Directory Service
Jan 24th, 2018 at 3:10pm

When I open Watch Directory all my tasks are green, however I am missing one task (that is still running).

This is a task that monitors a file structure for new files and sends an email out.  This is working and I'm getting emails daily from it.  I would like to check the settings on it but can't find the task to check the settings on it.

I did see it listed in Windows Services, but it is not running.  When I try to manually start it, errors with "Incorrect Function".

Server OS: Windows 2012 R2
Tasks run as a Windows Service and under Administrator Username that has all rights.

Any Ideas?

Thank You in Advance!

If you know the name of the task, lets assume it is called "HELLO"...

As I understand, you do not see the task HELLO in the WD Control Center?

The Windows service will be named "watchDirectory:HELLO". This is listed in the Windows Services app?
In the WD Control Center, select the menu "Tools -> Explore Task Directory".
Inside the directory that opens (ignore subdirs for now), do you see a file called HELLO.config?
Is there a subdir called HELLO?
Inside this subdir, do you see a file called history.db?
