Hi Gert,

It would be great if the user could set the order of the WxListener instances both in the WxRemoteConifig console and also in the WxRemote Control application that the user uses to monitor their WatchDirectory servers and tasks.

At the moment, any new WxListener instances are always added to the end of the list regardless of the Alias name set for the instance. As I will shortly have 18 WatchDirectory servers in operation, this would very much help me to organise these instances in the WxRemote Control console.

Have tried the beta version and can confirm that the following works as expected.

- Custom sort in the WX Remote Control Center (works within a Listener tab)
- Resizable window for WxConfig
- Listeners are sorted alphabetically in WxConfig

What I tried to describe was that I wanted the ability to sort the Listener tabs alphabetically in the WX Remote Control Center. Can this also be added to the beta?

This beta should work with the sorted tabs:

By the way, the previous beta should have worked as well. What we think happened is
- you opened wxconfig
- you saw the listeners were sorted properly
- you closed wxconfig without saving/restarting wxConnectionManager
- wxrcc receives the servers in the original (unsorted) order

In this beta, the listener-names received by wxrcc are sorted before creating the tabs.

Hi Gert/Vladimir,

Installed the new version and it worked as expected in sorting the tabs.

In fact the tabs were sorted when accessed by one of my old 1.9.2 Control Center instances that I have not had the time to update yet so sorting the tabs in the WxConfig app seems to work as you mention above. As part of the installation, I had to restart the wxConnectionManager service.

Hi Gert,

Have installed the latest version 1.10d and it seems to be working fine.

I have a suggestion for an additional feature (not sure whether this additional feature will require changes to the WatchDirectory application as well as the Wx Remote application).

It would be great if specific tasks could be tagged as 'critical tasks' and the Wx Remote interface to have a tab that would show any 'critical tasks' that had stopped running.

Currently I have a large number tasks across multiple servers that are under development and therefore may not be running. I often stop these 'development tasks' and they are intentionally not running but other tasks that are in 'production' should always be running.

I need to be able to quickly spot any tasks that are not running but should be.

Not sure if I have explained my requirement clearly. If not let me know.

I have been talking to the developer of WX about something that should help for this. Not sure when it will be implemented (not really soon probably).

The idea is that you can "tag" tasks (on any server) with one or more task-group-names, for example "Production" or "Test". On the WX Remote Control Center you can open a new window showing all tasks labeled "Production", no matter on which server they run.
